The Canadian Memorial Hangar is vast space and the home of our large aircraft collection. The hangar houses the only complete Handley Page Halifax Bomber in Europe, as well as the only Mirage IV nuclear strike aircraft outside of France.
This spacious hangar is an incredibly versatile empty space which can be adapted for a variety of purposes such as car launches, exhibitions and activities.
The historic aircraft make a stunning backdrop for large events and conferences, while the overhead structure is capable of incorporating your event lighting rigs, remote cameras and other broadcast solutions.
Outside of the hangar, the showground area is capable of accepting large outdoor display stands, vehicle displays and other facilities. Separate access gates give easy access for vehicles of all sizes to enable speedy setup and access for your logistical teams.
Throughout the winter time, the hangar provides shelter for our aircraft collection, all carefully positioned together as if in a giant game of Tetris.
However in summer time, between April and September, the space is available for hire. The summer weather makes the hangar a perfect space for large events and the historic aircraft that remain inside can be positioned to provide a wonderfully atmospheric and unique location that your guests will remember long after your event has ended.
Hiring the hangar is so much more than 4 walls. Together with your guests you will have the opportunity to visit the site and discover the history of this special World War Two base, the aircraft evolution and its nature of flight (50 acres of natural woodland).
